Sel-Plex® is an organic source of selenium produced by yeast. Selenium is a chemical element with the symbol Se. Selenium is an essential nutrient for animals, however, in large doses it can be toxic. In the animal selenium protects against oxidative damage and infection. It is furthermore a constituent of several selenoproteins that play critical roles in reproduction, thyroid hormone metabolism and DNA synthesis.

The product is authorised for use in the EU for all species

Main claim
Better utilization of selenium compared with inorganic sources.
