Introduction
AGal-Pro™ is also marketed under the product name AlphaGal™. AGal-Pro™ contains two different enzymes: alpha-galactosidase and beta-glucanase. It is authorised for use in chickens and minor poultry species in the EU and is available as a powder or a liquid.

Product storage stability
The product's shelf life was studied at 18°C and 30°C. When the product was stored at 18°C for 13 months, the mean recovery was 90%, and when it was stored at 30°C for 12 months, it was 80%.
Storage stability in premix and feed
Complete feed supplemented with the product was stored at either 20°C or 30°C. After nine months of storage, the mean enzyme recovery was close to 94% at 20°C and 90°C at 30°C

Physical properties
A dusting potential test showed that AGal-Pro's average dusting potential is 515 mg/m3, ranging from 479 to 566 mg/m3.
Handling
The European Commission states: "For users of the additive and premixtures, feed business operators shall establish operational procedures and organisational measures to address the potential risks resulting from their use. Where those risks cannot be eliminated by such procedures and measures, the additive and premixtures shall be used with personal breathing, eye and skin protective equipment."
