Product storage stability
The rate of recovery was studied in three batches of the product at two different temperatures. After two years of storage at 25°C, the activity was 77, 69 and 87 % for glucanase, xylanase and amylase, respectively. After four months of storage at 40°C, the recovery rate was 57, 63 and 67 % for glucanase, xylanase and amylase, respectively.

Storage stability in premix and feed
When the product was added to a vitamin-mineral premix and stored for six months at 25°C, the recovery rate for glucanase, xylanase, and amylase was 66, 73, and 77%, respectively. When stored at 40°C, the residual activity was below 50% for all enzymes. Storage of complete feed supplemented with the product for three months at 25°C reduced the enzymatic activity to 93 % of the initial activity.

Heat stability
Pelleting at 60 - 65°C reduced the activity of glucanase, xylanase and amylase to 49, 34 and 29 %, respectively

25 kg

Handling
The EU Commission states: "For users of the additive and premixtures, feed business operators shall establish operational procedures and organisational measures to address potential risks resulting from their use. Where those risks cannot be eliminated or reduced to a minimum by such procedures and measures, the additive and premixtures shall be used with personal protective equipment including skin, eyes and breathing protections."
